Kassel McVey is truly home to high-caliber lawyers, and a recent international recognition for our very own attorney Theile McVey proves this. Theile has just been elected as a Fellow of the elite International Society of Barristers (ISOB), an invite-only organization of top lawyers across various countries.

Established in 1965, ISOB brings together outstanding trial attorneys to work towards goals such as demanding ethical conduct during litigation and protecting the independence of the judiciary. The Society has limited membership from all over the US, Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, and Scotland. Among its esteemed stewards was the renowned attorney Craig Spangenberg, who served as the society’s first President.

Becoming a member of the Society entails a rigorous selection process. Lawyers cannot apply for membership but are instead nominated by an existing Fellow. The Society’s Board of Governors then conducts an inquiry on each nominee, examining his or her legal skill as well as personal and professional integrity. For this assessment, the Board inquires with other barristers in the nominee’s region and the judges in the cases that the nominee has handled.

Theile McVey has clearly satisfied the high standards of this organization. Her legal practice of almost two decades is punctuated with numerous successful cases, accolades from the legal community, and personal service to the public.

Working at Kassel McVey Law Firm, Theile has achieved highly favorable results for her clients, including multi-million dollar verdicts in mesothelioma cases. Her other practice areas include motor vehicle accidents, nursing home negligence, product liability, premises liability,  medical malpractice, and mesothelioma cases. In all these areas, she represents only plaintiffs in personal injury cases, as her personal dedication is towards real individuals and families who deserve justice.

Theile’s committed work has earned her other legal recognitions such as being named one of the Super Lawyers in South Carolina and one of the Midlands Legal Elite. She has consistently received those honors for several years now. She has also been a long-time member of the South Carolina Association for Justice, of which she was recently chosen as President.

With this new honor from the International Society of Barristers, Theile feels extremely grateful and motivated. Only a handful of attorneys in South Carolina area have been elected into this organization, and for Theile, this only means that she should continue to serve South Carolinians to the best of her abilities.
