Jamie Rutkoski completed her undergraduate degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida with a degree in History. She went on to complete her law degree at the University of South Carolina. After law school, she served as a judicial law clerk to both the Honorable G. Thomas Cooper Jr. and the Honorable Jean H. Toal before joining Kassel McVey in August of 2018 as an associate.

Jamie served as Justice of Administration of the University of South Carolina School of Law Mock Trial Bar while in law school. As a competing member of that trial advocacy program, Jamie received several acknowledgments. While competing in the Lone Star Classic competition at St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio, Texas, Jamie’s team advanced to the semi-finals and she individually received an award for Best Closing Argument. At the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge in Houston, Texas, Jamie and her teammates advanced to the quarter-finals. She individually received an award for Outstanding Advocate. Jamie now volunteers as a coach for the team, teaching court room skills to future trial lawyers.

In her spare time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her Labrador retriever, Foxy, and playing in volleyball tournaments.”
